Many of the students surveyed said that they did not enjoy the lecture.
Luna surveyed 40 people who were selceted randomly.

5. residue - sth that is left after the main part is no longer present
I don't think they'll be able to contain residues of pesticides.
It is almost impossible to remove all pesticide residues form fruits.

They used an amphibious vehicle to escape from this cursed island.
Tomato Frogs and American Toads are examples of amphibious animals.

5. to uplift - to improve/raise sth to a higher position
Noctis's speech uplifted the soldiers' morales.
She used to sing this song to uplift the mind and the spirit of the troubled people.

I put in a skylight to make the attic brighter.
Tom worked for skylight maufacturing company in 1995.

4. resilient - able to quickly recover or return to previous good condition
Luke seems to be very resilient to pain.
It's hard to make computers resilient to viruses.

5. to tumble - to fall quickly without control
Luna tumbled down the stairs and broke her leg.
Chris tumbled over a chair when he ran into my room.

The article was easy to read thanks to the cohesion of its paragraphs.

Tourists contribute lots of money to the country's economy.

5. intimidating - making you feel nervous/frightened/awed
When angry, Laura can be very intimidating.
She was rendered speechless because of his intimidating presence.

He erased the evidence of Nick's crimes.
It will take a lot of time to erase the damage caused by vermins.

5. to emerge - appear by coming out of something
A young girl emerged from the lake.
A man with a knife emerged form shadows behind her.
